Julia's Rivier Camp

In the midst of the Masai Mara's endless savannah, our exclusive tented camp lies hidden on a sleepy bend of the Talek River, and is the ideal place to start your safari adventures.

All our tents are pitched along the banks of the Talek, and allows one to be only a few feet from the river. With three sub-camps to choose from, we have something for everyone's taste and budget.

The hippo camp and VIP camp; comprising twelve savannah tents and four extra-large savannah tents respectively, all have sewn-in mosquito nets, comfortable beds with fine cotton sheets and duvets, bedside tables, solar powered lighting and private en-suite bathrooms with hot running water and flushing toilets. The VIP camp is located in a secluded wood on the river bank and is the ideal setting for honeymooners and private groups.

For the more adventurous travellers, the Buffalo Camp is the ideal choice with twelve dome tents each comprising sewn-in mosquito nets, two stretcher beds with mattresses, fine cotton sheets and duvets, bedside tables and solar powered lighting. A toilet and shower tent is shared between two tents, providing piping hot showers 24-hours a day.

Each camp has its own spacious mess tent that provides the ideal setting for delicious meals served by our diligent and attentive staff. Full board comprises English or Continental breakfast in the morning, a packed lunch on safari or seated lunch at the camp, and a splendid three course dinner accompanied by the finest South African wines.

A fleet of open 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers, specially modified for wildlife viewing, provide the ideal vehicles for game drives. Our experienced driver-guides are at your service, to ensure you enjoy the most spectacular wildlife experience in the most famous nature reserve in the world.
