Jumbo Self-catering Overnight flats offers two spacious, one bedroom flats situated less than two kilometres from the Kruger National Park Phalaborwa Gate.

The flat offers a comfortable self-catering holiday flat for couples or very small groups. The flat comes complete with a air-conditioner in the bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom with bath and shower, and lounge. Lounge has a television set and linen and towels are provided. There is parking available. Guests may also make use of the lapa and swimming pool. Have a braai right on your doorstep, cook a nice meal or enjoy dinner at one of the town's restaurants. Late at night one can hear hyena and lion in the distance.

Make this your base camp in and out of the Kruger National Park and other nearby attractions like the famous Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, White lions, Cheetah Project and much more. For the more adventurous, take a scenic flight in a small plane. Ask the owner for more details on arrival. Also not to be missed is a trip on Jumbo River Safaris - this is a big raft/boat that sails on the Olifants River which is open to the Kruger National Park. You can have a braai or picnic on the boat while watching game and birds and enjoy the most beautiful sunset in the world. Please note that the unit has a minimum rate of R450 per night, regardless of the number of guests staying.

Our stay was a disappointment as we were not welcomed by anyone as the owner gave the keys to the flat to the gardener, the current tenants indicated that the flat was empty for quite some time, there is no fencing, it felt like the place were only furnished the day we arrived as some of the furniture still had prices on, the DSTV did not work, the swimming pool was green, the outside lights did not work, the fridge did not work, there were no hot water until we were moved to another property, the kitchen cabinets were sticky and dirty, food were left in the oven and were rotten and disgusting. The owner apologized and moved us to a beautiful lodge. I recommend that the owner clean the place thoroughly and sort out all the problems before she rent it out to anyone else.
