Kaapsche Hoop, also known as Kaapsehoop or Kaapse Hoop, dates from the famous gold rush of the late 1880s where fortunes were made and more often, lost. Nestled on the edge of the Mpumalanga escarpment, Kaapsche Hoop overlooks the valleys toward Barberton and Nelspruit. The guest house offers eight luxury en-suite rooms, each with its own private entrance, as well as a restaurant and bar providing a la carte and buffet dinners for our guests only. In the dining room there is a wonderful fireplace for romantic evenings and a place with a TV.
Situated just 28 km from Nelspruit, Kaapsche Hoop Gastehuis is ideally located as a base from for day trips to Sabie, Graskop, the Kruger National Park, Barberton, and even Mozambique or Swaziland. At the end of a busy day, you can escape the heat of the Lowveld and rest in the mosquito-free mountain air, or in winter, relax with a glass of exquisite wine.
