Kamberg Valley Hideaway

Kamberg Valley Hideaway is a little gem situated in a uniquely scenic and tranquil part of the Drakensberg, along the Little Mooi River. We are 35kms from the nearest town and supermarket and surrounded by incredible mountain views and sparkling dams.The property comprises of 27.4 hectares of land, a dam which is stocked with Rainbow Trout, where keen fisherman can try their luck at fly-fishing, stunning mountain views and an abundance of bird life. There are three self-catering cottages available for rent. One is attached to the main house (Mountain View Cottage). This is a one-bedroom cottage. There is one bathroom with a large shower and well lit mirror, an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace, a four-seater dining table, and double doors onto a private patio with braai facilities and furniture. The cottage also offers guests free Wi-Fi Internet access and parking on the premises. Sunset Cottage is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage accommodating up to 4 people and has two bedrooms (both of which can be made up with either a King bed or twin single beds). The cottage has a fully equipped open plan kitchen and living area and sliding doors on to a private patio / braai area. Free Wifi is also provided, as is covered parking. Forest Cottage is a larger cottage accommodating up to 6 people and has three bedrooms (all of which can be made up with either a King bed or twin single beds), two bathrooms, a fully equipped open plan kitchen and living area and sliding doors on to a private patio / braai area. Free Wifi is also provided, as is covered parking. Guests can explore great attractions around the area, including the Highmoor Nature Reserve, renowned for their well-stocked trout dams and mountain walks, the Kamberg Nature Reserve, the Midlands Meander and Nottingham Road and The Rhode House Museum in the town of Mooi River. There is also handmade cheese tasting daily at the farm next door to us.
