The property is set on a 8,200 square metre garden filled with proteas and fynbos, and offers spectacular views to the sea and the surrounding mountains. Composed mainly of natural stone and wood, the house offers a sociable entertainment flow. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with twin beds. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen is generously equipped for easy self-catering, with an open-plan dining room equipped with an eight-seater dining table. Glass sliding doors in the living room offer panoramic views of the park-like garden. A large central fireplace creates a cosy ambience during the winter months. The property is accessed through an electric gate, and features a private outdoor pool with deck chairs and a parasol. A sea view in the distance highlights this pristine mountainside garden where many indigenous fynbos shrubs and flowers attract the endemic bird life. The house opens up onto a wooden deck with garden furniture and a Weber gasbraai. Wander through the secure, park-like grounds to discover a delightful pond surrounded by trees with a meditative ambience. Guests can enjoy incredible vistas of north and south mountain ranges. A part of the garden is covered with the well-known pincushion proteas, as well as the king protea.
Another favourite spot in Kinghorn's Garden is the 25 square metre viewing deck. From here guests can enjoy views of the sea in the distance, and the mountains. A large table and a bench invites guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The house is secured with an alarm system and the two boerbull ladies give you extra security for a relaxed stay.
