Kitandara Bwindi Tentkamp

Lake Kitandara Camp is the best camp for up-market visitors to the Bwindi National Park, modernised in an African style. It has unique tents which retain some original features but also have modern conveniences. It is adjacent to Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National Park overlooking the beautiful forest with mountain gorillas.

The camp has a total of 19 Luxurious Canvas Tents which are self-contained and named after Ugandan bird species. It has been carefully designed to blend the natural environment which provides luxury hospitality to all guests. The tents are well equipped with comfortable beds and furniture. The bathrooms are fitted with hot- and cold-water showers and bath tabs, with 24-hour solar power running.

It is a home to 326 gorillas, almost half of the world's population of mountain gorillas. There are 346 species of birds and over 200 species of butterflies. The major activities in the area are gorilla tracking, bird watching, nature walks, village walks and cultural performances.

The bar is fully stocked and has been refurbished to suit your highest expectations, overlooking the forest. The evening breeze from the forest will relax you after gorilla tracking. The restaurant is in an elevated position above the forest.
