La Joya House

Located in Shela Village, La Joya House is a traditional coastal Swahili house, built using lime and coral and has a total of five double bedrooms. The house is available for rent on an exclusive basis, or you can rent a room on a bed and breakfast basis.

The first floor of the house consists of the main kitchen, a dining room and two bedrooms. On the second floor, there is a secondary kitchen, dining/living room area and two bedrooms. The rooftop pent-house bedroom has its own bathroom and living room area. The house is very tastefully decorated to create a comfortable, homely setting for its guests.

Staff are available for cleaning and serving breakfast. There is also a very good chef at the house who is at the guests' disposal to prepare delicious Swahili dishes, seafood and fish dishes with fresh local produce.

The famous Shela Beach is a five minutes' walk away from La Joya House.
