Lake Mburo Lodge

Lake Mburo Lodge is a classic tented camp in the grand safari tradition, providing the only luxury accommodation inside the Lake Mburo National Park. The camp provides first-class service and comfort in a truly tranquil and natural setting. It is a small and exclusive property set on a commanding hilltop overlooking Lake Mburo and its surrounding eco systems.

Each of the nine Guest Tents is set on a wooden platform with their own private verandah offering stunning views of the lake and bush. The bedrooms consist of twin beds, a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with a hot water shower. All the bed linen and bathroom soaps are supplied. The tents are fitted with solar-powered lighting.

The separate dining and bar facilities are also set on wooden platforms and offers an atmospheric dining experience complete with views of the valley and lake. Meals are prepared in the kitchen to the highest standard.

The camp is situated in the centre of the park and therefore can serve perfectly as your base for hikes in the area. This park is the only place in Uganda where one can see impala and zebra, and it contains one of the greatest concentrations of eland. Other species seen are buffalo, topi, waterbuck, crocodile, hippo, leopard, hyena, jackal, klipspringer and the long horned ankole cattle. Due to abundant water there is a wide variety of bird life including the rare shoebill stork, narina's trogon and abyssinian ground hornbill.
