LORD FRASER GASTEHUIS RESENSIES (83 %) A jewel by Peter Quinn, South Africa 02 January 2012 In the midst of a very run-down town is this gracious old house filled with a sense of historical character throughout. The place requires a little maintenance but is still very comfortable - especially the Lord Fraser room. Limited hospitality experienced - maybe because it was 'quiet season'. Comfortable by Jeanine Jooste, South Africa 12 November 2012 Sadly Wepener as a town is really run down so the overall impression wasn't very good, however, to steal another's words, the Lord Fraser Guest house really is a little haven in this town and the lodging was very comfy, and the food good with really generous portions. Good spot for an overnight on way somewhere.

And the staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly, electricity in the area went out early in the morning, which meant that there was no water to shower. Or toast at breakfast. I do think the breakfast was too expensive.
