Luangwa Bush Camping is walking with the best of uides, dipping deeper into the bush from the fixed tents, by camping out for a couple of nights and enjoying dinner and stories around the fire.
The itinerary for this bush camp is staying at Nkwali Camp for two nights, then by Tena Tena for one night, then at Luangwa Bush Camp for two nights, and then finally at Nsefu Camp for two nights.
There are two walk-in Meru tents for a maximum of four guests with mattresses on the ground, sheets and blankets, wash basins, a shared bucket shower, a bush loo/long drop, a full bar and food services.
Nkwali is ideally situated for the start of your safari, the six rooms all look out over the river and have open-air bathrooms. Depending on your arrival time in the day, you will enjoy a lunch looking out over the lagoon to the back of Nkwali, or if in the afternoon a night game drive.
When staying at Tena Tena and Nsefu, you can walk between the two camps for two or three days, camping on the way. This is simple camping but with that extra touch of comfort. The walking is in one of the most lagoon rich areas of the Luangwa, hence the game is superb.
