Tucked away on the edge of the magnificent Menengai Crater, Maili Saba Camp offers a warm and casual atmosphere with a fantastic view. Whether you will visit Maili Saba Camp on your way to the Northern or Western Frontier, or for a weekend out, you will leave refreshed and inspired by nature as we are just 20 minutes from Nakuru National Park.
The camp consists of 10 grass-thatched bandas and a Family Cottage, each with a unique view of the crater. The bandas are furnished with comfortable double or twin beds and private showers. Two of the bandas also have attached rooms for children and are ideal for a family. The Family Cottage consists of two bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The rooms are furnished with comfortable double or twin beds and hot water bottles are provided. The cottage is equipped with a stove and oven as well as a microwave and fridge. Guests can relax in the lounge and enjoy the views form the terraces. Room and laundry services are also available.
The camp has a restaurant and bar where guests can enjoy western and more Swahili influenced meals while overlooking the crater. Guests can also make use of the swimming pool and there is ample secure parking and 24-hour security as well as email, fax and telephone facilities. A shuttle service to and from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport can also be arranged.
Guests can enquire regarding the organization of a tailor-made activity programme such as golfing, hiking, biking, horse riding and ballooning which are located in the surrounding area. Guests can go on guided nature walks down the Menengai Crater or visit the hot springs of Lake Bogoria, have lunch at the Thomsons Falls or visit Hell's Gate National Park near the sweet water of Lake Navaisha.
