Matemwe Beach House

Matemwe Beach House is the perfect holiday home for a family or small group wanting a private slice of this beautiful coastline. Just a stone's throw from the beach, the Indian Ocean and the Swahili culture, this privately contained house offers the chance to experience this stretch of coast on your own terms.

The sea breeze, palm trees and the sound of waves are a constant reminder of the stunning setting that this house is situated in. Diving, snorkelling, canoeing, reef walking and swimming are just some of the activities available to those that stay here which, combined with the facilities of the neighbouring Matemwe main lodge, means that there is more than enough to do if you chose to leave the calm of this retreat.

The three-bedroom traditional beach house is located just five paces from the beach, with a private pool deck lying between the two. The house is set in its own enclosure and looks out over the plunge pool to the beach and blue sea beyond, both of which are accessed by a private path and gate. Two of the rooms are en-suite, with a third situated on a mezzanine floor ? ideal for children. Guests will be looked after by their own team of staff led by a Matemwe chef and butler who ensure that the food and experience at the beach retreat is tailored to your family or group.
