Knysna is situated on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route of South Africa. Knysna is one of the Southern Cape coast's best known holiday destinations, surrounded by a natural paradise of lush indigenous forests, tranquil lakes and golden beaches, making it a real natural wonderland.
We offer a self-catering cottage featuring a kitchen equipped with all crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils, a fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, stove and oven, sink, dish clothes and dishwashing liquid, as well as a breakfast counter and three stools.
The sitting room includes a coffee table and four chairs, side lamp and table, fireplace and television set and aerial with local channels. The first bedroom contains two beds with two side tables and bed lamps, a dressing table and built-in cupboards, while the second bedroom features two beds with side table and bed lamp. Linen is also provided.
The Knysna lagoon is one of the few places along the coast and in the world that supports an oyster hatchery. Knysna celebrates an annual Knysna Oyster Festival during July, which has become one of the most popular events in the Western Cape. Oysters, of course are a huge component of the Festival, however the Oyster Festival has become a 10-day celebration of sport, food, wine and leisure activities.
Knysna is a very vibrant town, and buzzes with creativity and energy. It is a hotspot for arts and crafts, and diverse music, and is a place where you can enjoy a mellow outdoor atmosphere of street cafes. For those who enjoy a diverse array of dining, there are many interesting restaurants to choose from in town.
