The Montusi Self-Catering Cottages are privately owned holiday homes situated on the Montusi Estate. The cottages are situated within a fenced complex with the Montusi Mountain Lodge.

There is a large, beautiful, natural-look swimming pool and a tennis court. Guests have access to the 1000-hectare conservation estate for hiking and trail-running. The 100km Mountain Bike trail network of Drakensberg Trails can be accessed right from the complex; trail passes are required and can be purchased at the main reception. There are also 2 trout dams and a bass dam for fishing; permits for sale at the main reception.

Montusi is a quiet, peaceful place perfect for those looking to relax and rejuvenate their souls. Loud music is not permitted.

The cottages are lovely. Nicely decorated, well equipped, well maintained. Friendly reception and staff. Some nice walking routes. My son caught a big trout in one of their dams! We had a great stay!

As I live in the city I really appreciated the quietness and beauty of the hills. The air was clear and the sky a blue I hadn't seen in a long time.

No negatives we really enjoyed out stay. Very comfortable and clean unit with underfloor heating , beautiful views, awesome indoor fire place, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely book unit no 2 again. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
