Moonriver Mountain Retreat is situated on the edge of a large secluded valley, nestled in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere of Limpopo, South Africa and overlooking an amazing valley with breathtaking views of the Mountains and Sunirse. Moonriver Mountain Retreat is part of Waterberg Bushveld Retreat, which is open to the public. 3 Private spacious Chalets and the Main Lodge are situated on the ridge of the Mountain. The Chalets are all with total glass frontage to take maximum advantage of the views. The Chalets are situated away from the main lodge entertainment area to ensure maximum privacy and are all within walking distance of the Parking Area and the Main Lodge. Moonriver Mountain Retreat is a self-catering/self-service establishment. It offers guests spectacular views of the amazing valley and surrounds, as well as interesting walking or strenuous hiking for the fitter visitors. During summer there are numerous springs and water streams to explore in different valleys, with abundant wildlife, birds and flowers. The Safari and Sunrise Chalets are situated on the ridge of the Mountain. Only 4x4 vehicles can drive close to the Waterhole and Sunrise Chalets. The Safari Chalet have a pathway with stairs and is not suitable for elderly people. There is no shop or Restaurant on the property. Guests must bring their own Ice, Wood and Charcoal. Strictly no pets allowed.
