The main Morija Guest House is perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the historic village of Morija in the Lesotho Lowlands, 45 km from the capital Maseru. Built from hand-cut stone and thatched with local grass, it blends discreetly into the environment.

During the day there are commanding views of the surrounding forest and the village below, and the sunsets from the front deck and the views of the night sky are unforgettable. Below the main house are several small cottages to welcome more visitors. The accommodation offered is rustic but comfortable, and the rooms are tastefully decorated.

We can comfortably accommodate up to 24 people. Guests can choose to cater for themselves or to order cooked meals. We are proud of our homely atmosphere where families, NGOs, church groups, and professionals all feel at ease. We also organise special weekends, some to introduce visitors to the language and the culture of Lesotho, and others to teach French, with accommodation, meals and activities all being included.

It was awesome. We enjoyed every moment of it. Their warm welcome and hospitality to the end was amazing. Looking forward to a peaceful and quiet outing to there again.

We stayed for 2 nights as a couple and it was fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. Would love to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful setting with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food was tasty, but too expensive.

A good place to stay over in Lesotho by

Somewhat expensive in comparison to what you get in SA for the same price. Friendly helpful staff, safe environment, everything you basically need for self catering. The abundant wood for the fire place, enough hot water for 5 people, extra heaters and electric blankets were most welcome. The cottage has very limited space for relaxing indoors. We would however definitely rather stay in the cottage before staying in the main house. We enjoyed walking to town and making contact with some of the local people. In the main house there were some board games and books that we could borrow which we appreciated.
