Better than anticipated by

Absolutely stunning place. Would definitely go back there without a doubt. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms with exceptional views all round. Lodge just lacks a spa and pool but the good rates and good service overrides that. Thank you for accommodating us, you made Ladysmith a pleasure to visit!

Not impressed by

We arrived and was immediately taken aback by the lodge. We booked in and were taken to our rooms and we were very happy that we chose Mt View Lodge. We stayed well but the disappointment came the next morning when we went for a buffet breakfast. There was nobody attending to us and there were no sausages or bread to have. We waited for about fifteen minutes before a lady brought in more stuff for the breakfast. That was even more frustrating the next morning as we had to attend a prayer that was starting at 9.00am and the buffet breakfast again was about an hour of waiting and complaining to the lady at reception with no urgency whatsoever. There was only one lady bringing in the items to the dining hall. That was very disappointing indeed.

I loved the service and the breakfast was very nice as well. the only problem was that there was not hot water when we woke up.
