Nedile Lodge is situated in the Malaria free Welgevonden Game Reserve, just 3 hours north of Pretoria. Welgevonden Reserve is a declared Heritage Site of 33000 hectares and border the Marekele National Park. All situated in the breathtaking Waterberg Biosphere. A true bushveld environment is home to some of Africa's most sought after game species, for instance elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland, sable and many other varieties of antelope. There may even be the opportunity of catching a glimpse of the aardvard, brown hyena or rarely seen honey badger.

Five exclusive suites, carefully positioned between rocky outcrops on a north facing slope and breath-taking views of the Waterberg mountains, compliment this location. Two of the suites may be used as family units with an inter-leading entrance hall. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers.

The main building has a central African theme and consists of a lounge/bar and dining area, all leading out onto seligna decks emphasizing the natural environment. A rock boma provides an outside dining area where you can enjoy a traditional campfire and true South African hospitality. A swimming pool has been included and is designed to compliment the lodge's bushveld Cool down in the rock pool or join one of the game viewing activities. Under the supervision of an experienced game ranger, all activities from game drives to bush walks will provide new and unique learning about the wonders of nature.

Nedile Lodge accommodates up to 10 Guests in five exclusive and luxury rooms. The location and lodge are awesome! With all the rain, the reserve is eally lush and green which made game spotting quite difficult...but our ranger was excellent and we located a couple of lionesses, and a large number of antelope, zebra and giraffe. The staff were all very friendly and informative.

And so close to Joburg so no long journeys!!! Our weekend was truly magical. The staff at Nedile are great and no request is too much. Christo and Tanya were wonderful hosts and Wikus a great guide. We can't wait to come back ...

Absolutely fantastic by

Mark and I stayed for three nights and wished it could have been longer. The lodge has wonderful views, the accommodation was immaculate. Relaxing in the bath with a G&T after a game drive was an absolute joy. Wikas was our guide for the game drives and his knowledge of the animals and bush was incredible. We were extremely well hosted by Carmen (also a very competent first aider). All the staff were friendly and the food fantastic. I really don't think I can give this lodge enough praise......the whole experience was excellent.

Great place by

Great view, great food, saw four of big five (only Buffalo missing). Game viewing was not easy due to long grass, but the scenery is very interesting and we enjoyed the game drives immensely, very natural and unspoilt, not commercialized. The atmosphere at the lodge is very relaxed and friendly and all the staff were great.
