OLD MILL DRIFT GASTEPLAAS RESENSIES (87 %) The Perfect Getaway by Emily Fernandez, South Africa Monday, 07 December 2015 Amazing views of the Lesotho highlands standing on SA soil, peaceful & quiet! The night skies are stunning! Chalets are fully equipped, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Pets are welcome and they'll have a blast exploring the area. Stunning surroundings by Sammy Le Roux, South Africa Monday, 29 February 2016 One of the most beautiful views we've had. Decoration of the 4x4 lodge is very nice and homely. Pity we did not have a kettle to make some coffee and the stove tripped the power. At least we could boil water in the microwave.
No cellphone reception. Needed roaming, a bit of a problem as we did not know beforehand.
Awesome scenery by Karin La Grange-nel 19 November 2017 We loved the tranquility and surroundings. The hosts went out of their way to lend us cutlery and crockery as we were not aware that the Wendy was not equipped. We were disappointed that they did not inform us that there is no fising due to low water levels. We will definitely return after good rainfall. Short Getaway by Heidi Smith 05 January 2018 We loved our stay at Old Mill, it's peacefull and charming and the folks of the establishment are very helpful and friendly. The farm is well run and the views are amazing. You can also take nice walks around the farm or just a very short drive into clarens town for a bite to eat.A must for anyone or family or friends that want to get away. We are lookonng forward to returning soon. View = Heaven! by Hanna Aspesberger 20 February 2018 Excellent view - lots to do....
Only downfall was the road, not suitable for any sedan!
All the moments between animals and real farm feeling made up for this and we will be back for sure... Beautiful setting by Terry Parenzee 20 March 2018 Great location, stunning views! Only downside were the uncomfortable beds and quite bad leaks in the ceiling. Also be aware that if you're taking dogs who aren't used to horses, it's not ideal as the horses roam between chalets and even onto your patio. Peace and quiet by Lena Leroux 21 March 2018 Loved the setting but could upgrade on overall neatness of property The unit we stayed in The Rock was clean and neat
The last 3 km of dirt road was really difficult with a low car Absolutely loved tge breathtaking views from the chalet! by Brenda Lunsford 19 April 2018 The drive in was fantastic..and the peace and quiet and beautiful setting was well worth the trip! An easy drive with my 4x4 Jimney. An amazing weekend in the mountains by Mandy De Kock 27 May 2018 The place was absolutely stunning, from the modern decor, to the amazing view, to playing with the gorgeous doggies and a awesome horses...the perfect host. Thank you for a weekend we will never forget! *********************************************** HI Mandy MANY MANY THANKS for your FANTASTIC review. It really does help us in a big way to gain credibility in this very large market :)))) it means a lot thank you Kind regards ************************************************** The Mountains was the best by Howard Gibbons 04 June 2018 My Review on this place. This false advert and false expectations. I was not so upset about the road to the farm as what I was when we arrived at the place. They said we are lucky that we have the honeymoon suite, this had a very nice bed in newly build hut. Open plan Bedroom, kitchen (if you can call it that), bathroom, with a separate toilet. I did not have a fire place or heater. The place was cold and seriously the only door in the hut does not even lock. We asked for something better. OMW. They took us to the 4x4 house, well it had sleeping place for 9 people. One toilet and a shower. Really I would ask for a refund as we did not even have towels in the place. The advert say that there is electric blankets. The bed felt like someone's old bed that was thrown out. It did not sleep well. The fridge was making noises that kept us out of sleep and did not work well. At least we had a fire place to warm the place up. Well I was hoping to give my wife some nice place at least a little bit better than home, I could see the disappointment in her eyes. I would not recommend my friends or family to go there at all. The farm has so much potential and its beautiful out there but the accommodation is scruffy. We asked them to have the place cleaned during the day while we were out, this did not happen. Well disappointed is not what I wanted for the trip. If I wanted to go fishing next to the river I would not expect more than this. I think you should seriously go and have a look for yourselves. Nature is unbelievably beautiful by Basie Van Der Merwe 09 July 2018 The accommodation is for backpackers and not for your reasonable visitor. We stayed in the 4x4 "house". 10 people slept there with 1 bathroom and toilet. Hot showers in July are only possible for the first persons. The furniture is in a very poor condition and is not enough for the number of people. Advice to owner is getting the accommodation on the same standard as the price you ask. Magestic mountains by Riaan Engelbrecht 30 July 2018 Tranquil and scenic location. Neat and clean accommodation. The beautiful and placid nature by Pat O'neill 19 August 2018 The last three(3) km of the road to the lodge. At one spot of the road it's a nightmare for people driving a small sedan, otherwise everything was nice. Relaxing destination by Vedika Andhee 24 September 2018 Great location and dog friendly! OLD MILL DRIFT GASTEPLAAS LIGGING
