Oranje Guest Farm is a full working farm amongst the beautiful mountains of the eastern Free State, near the Lesotho border. Imagine a setting for a break-away, a wedding or special occasion in a valley created by the Maluti Mountains on the one side and the Rooi mountains on the other side.We have eight beautiful rooms, all en-suite and a wedding and conference venue for up to 220 guests. The self-catering rooms all have their own entrance, DSTV, electric blanket, safe, hair dryer, heater and a kitchenette.We have a braai area, wheelchair friendly access and secure parking. Guests can enjoy horse riding, fly fishing, bass fishing, bird watching and swimming in the area surrounding Oranje.

A perfect place for a sleep over.
Friendly staff, very neat and clean. We loved the working farm. Also has a beautiful chapel on the grounds and would be lovely to arrange a conference or wedding there.

the venue and scenery by

Loved the scenery and the animal sounds and smells. Very interesting and comprehensive information folder about the history of the family and the farm despite the three humorous spelling mistakes in the English list of birds found in the area. The room I was in (Hansman) was very comfortable, however, it is attached to the back of one of the rooms on the veranda and one can hear ALL activities that happen in their bathroom/toilet and bedroom. The information on the SafariNow page needs to be corrected. The Guesthouse does not have Restaurant facilities but food can be ordered on request. I had the most delicious Lamb stew and Veggies !!! Also the distance from Fouriesburg is not 28 km it is 14 km. The SafariNow page does not mention any self catering facilities, yet my unit was fully equipped for self catering. Highly recommended indeed !!!!!
