Enjoy the warm hospitality of Overvaal Guestfarm situated 27 km outside of Ermelo on the Piet Retief Road. There are several nearby dams that are excellent for numerous adrenaline pumping water sports activities as well as fishing, swimming and bird watching.

We offer a large child friendly house with four spacious en-suite bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. There is an open-plan living area with a fireplace, DStv, wireless Internet access, an indoor braai area and daily cleaning services. We offer another two separate flats sleeping two guests in each. Each flat has a self-catering kitchen and an en-suite bathroom.

The majestic town of Ermelo is situated between the grass and wetlands region of the Mpumalanga Province and is scattered with maize, cattle, wool and sunflower farms.

This is a lovely clean & modern self catering accommodation on a working farm. The farm itself is very isolated and is difficult to find so I recommend you arrive with plenty of daylight left to be able to locate. The owners are very welcoming and so are their 6 very cute dogs. This is a perfect 1 night stop over but nothing to do at the farm for longer stay overs, although there was a fabulous movie package on the tv to occupy oneself.

Home from home by

The guesthouse suited us perfectly as an overnight stop for 3 adults and 3 young children between Hluhluwe and Benoni. Spacious and with en suite facilities in each bedroom, the house was very comfortable, with all we needed for a very pleasant stay. Pikkie and Johan, who own the working farm, and their daughter who met us on arrival, could not be more hospitable and helpful. As a bonus, we learnt a lot about farming from Johan, and would certainly recommend the guest house for a stay in the Ermelo area.

Brilliant hospitality from Johan and Pikkie. A tour of the farms and learning about and seeing planting going on, lambs giving birth and many other farm activites.
