Come and enjoy the stars and the true tranquillity of the Karoo. Experience the sunrise and sunset, inhaling fresh air, like you will only see it in the calm Karoo. When you come here, you are a guest, but you leave as a friend.

We want you to feel safe and at home. As guest, you are important to us and we strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Come and truly experience what the Karoo has to offer!

Our guest house is on a farm 12km from Colesberg about 4,7km on the N9 (PE) road.

We do not have a restaurant, but serves breakfast and dinner on request. Breakfast: R60-00; dinner: R160-00. Choice between kookkos or barbecue with a side dish. Please let us know just the morning of your overnight before 10 o'clock in or your dinner with us to enjoy.

Enjoyed the stay at Palmietfontein Guest House by

Welcome was well organised. Rooms and immediate vicinity of farmhouse make one feel welcome and at home. The stay was pleasant. However the "Karoo bossies" between the two tracts of the farm road were not that friendly to the underside of my Corolla. Please use only the entrance via N9.

Very friendly and warm reception and stay. Also quiet and away from the main road and town noises. Typical SA farm atmosphere and hospitality and also very reasonable - highly recommended.

The wonderful farm location with outstanding facilities and pet friendly. The hosts were magnificent and almost gave a feeling of being part of the family.

Peaceful and tranquil by

A bit off the beaten track but the view and the stillness of the area make up for it. Very spacious simple accommodation, our host were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our overnight stay and left refreshed the next morning to resume our trip.
