REPLIES TO REVIEWS: KEEP US INFORMED. 1) During times of extreme heat and drought in the bushveld, insects are drawn to any source of water one of which is the septic tank systems in the houses. When this happens, a temporary outbreak or infestation of insects may occur. This happens mostly with ants, termites, cockroaches and flies. When these infestation occur, we spray poisons that are specific to the infestation. As Marloth Park is a conservancy, we are restricted to the use of poisons that have a short biological lifespan and has no secondary impact on animals that may ingest the insects. Infestations tend to spread quickly as the insects reproduce mainly when they have a food and water source. Please let the caretakers know immediately you see an infestation and it will be sorted out immediately.

Relaxed stay by

We really enjoyed a quiet and relaxed stay. Very neat accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the owner even thought about power outages and took care of emergency lighting as well as gas stove etc. We will be back.

Wonderful by

We had a wonderful couple of days. Saw animals from the verandah. House was comfortable and had everything that we needed. Will definitely go again.

The house was well equipped but we think it could do with a little maintenance. There were only 2 chairs outside at the pool/braai area and both were broken. The cushions of the furniture could do with cleaning and the floors were also not very clean. The tiles were full of black marks, but overall we enjoyed the stay.

It was awesome by

The house needs to be attended to a day before visitors check in just to make sure everything is in order. The remote for the alarm wasn't working, I had to endure a good 15 mins of alarm wailing non stop. It also needed a bit of sweeping on the floors. On a good note though, the house is nice, spacious and its position next to the water holes is marvelous. You are guaranteed of game in the mornings and afternoons. Being woken up by roars of a lion from the nearby Lionspruit is phenomenal , sounds of the Purple Crested Lourie from the bush while you enjoying the morning breeze from the first floor balcony is out of this world. I'll be on my way back soon.
