Penny Lane Lodge is situated in beautiful Somerset West, the gateway to the Winelands, with majestic views of the Helderberg Mountains.

We are about 20 minutes' drive from Cape Town International Airport, close to six major golf courses including the world famous Erinvale Golf Course, 40 minutes from Cape Town, 15 minutes away from the historical town of Stellenbosch and close to the lovely beaches of Gordon's Bay and Strand.

We offer six units all with en-suite bathrooms sleeping between two and four people. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens, braai or barbeque areas and secure inside parking, with all guests having their own remote control unit for the main gate.

All units also have their own separate entrances. Here with us your hosts, Kevin and Diane White, you will find a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are let on a self-catering or room only basis.

Not impressed at all Wont stay there again or recommend Stayed in so called self catering unit - 1.need urgently new mattress 2. No cutlery or any form of plates etc provided 3. No friendly service from the guest lady 4. Room as hot as hell - baking in the sun. Need air-con at all times

We are sorry that your stay failed to meet expectations and and as always, we take all our guest's comments seriously.

We have checked and we booked you into Studio 3 as requested. The mattress in Studio 3 was brand new this year - a top of the range one which many people have commented very favourably on.

We remember asking about catering arrangements - if full self catering had been requested, another room was available.

We do pride ourselves in being welcoming to all our guests and are a little surprised you found us unhelpful. We remember that we spoke together very pleasantly on several occasions.

All our rooms have air-conditioning units which are checked before every arrival. The operation of the unit was demonstrated and the unit was available for use.

We do our best to rectify any deficiencies as and when they are brought to our attention, but as far as we knew at the time, everything was fine.
