Poplar Guesthouse offers very basic accommodation and is conveniently located in the center of Ficksburg, making it an ideal base from which to explore the town. Ficksburg is situated in the scenic panorama of the eastern Free State, and is nestled at the foot of the Imperani Mountain. It also happens to be the cherry capital of South Africa.
Each of the guest rooms is named after the cherry trees in the back yard. Guests have a choice of a double- or single rooms, and bedding and bath towels are provided. Rooms 1, 2 and 3 shares a central bathroom while Room 4 and room 5 shares a complete bathroom down the passage. Room 6 is the only room with its own separate, complete bathroom. Room facilities include clean drinking water, coffee bar on request, an Open view TV in each room , and a heater to keep the chill away. Guests also have access to secure safe parking, free Wi- Fi connectivity.
