Recently renovated and under new Management, Port Wine Guesthouse is a lovely historic Guest house in Calitzdorp on the famous Route 62. This stylish 1830 homestead is centrally situated in the heart of the port capital of South Africa, Calitzdorp, overlooking port vineyards and within walking distance of all the wineries, galleries, shops and the museum in town.

The thatch roof homestead in Karoo and Victorian architecture has large vine-covered patios, where you can enjoy the Karoo sunsets, scrumptious dinners and breakfasts. Relax in the lush garden, including a fragrant rose garden, or by the sparkling pool.

Port Wine Guesthouse is pet,child and biker friendly with disabled facilities. We are fully licensed with great braai area's to enjoy!!

A great overnighter! by

Five of us arrived in the early evening having driven all day - we were given a warm ( and liquid) welcome, a choice of beautiful rooms, a log fire and a hot meal - what more could we have asked for? The house is beautifully kept, immaculately clean and welcoming.

The best B&B by

Very warm welcome, you immediately feel the owners are professionals wanting the best for their guests. Nice garden, very fine dinner and beautiful environment. By far the best B & B where we ever stayed.

Overnight by

Calitzdorp was not really what we expected. I guess it has changed a lot. Yet, it was a useful place to overnight. The PortWine Guesthouse is beautiful and feels quite luxurious.

Lovely stay. Recommend that rugs be laid on the floor to cover the worn wooden floors or clean/varnish and make sure room is ready to check in on the time as per website.

A good nights sleep by

Our stay was perfect. Had nowhere to go for dinner. walked the streets. All the establishments were closed very, very early.
