Proud Foot Farm is a country-style house set in the beautiful bushveld. Located in Mooi River, this country house is the ideal accommodation for a well-deserved getaway. If you love a place where you can enjoy the wonders of nature; spot a buck, wild animals or even discover indigenous plants you have never seen before, Proud Foot Farm would be it.

This house offers five beautifully furnished bedrooms, featuring double, single and queen-size beds. There are four bathrooms and two of which are en-suite. A large living area offers guests plenty of space for entertaining, as there are two areas for dining as well as a lounge and a bar area. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and there are braai facilities for guests who enjoy cooking with fire.

Guests must not arrive later than 18:00; if you will be late please let us know prior to the time. The last part of the road is fine for most vehicles but we don't recommend it for vehicles which are lower than normal.

The area offers visitors plenty of activities and attractions such as hiking, nature walks, fishing in the river or dam and visits to the Zulu Falls.

Activities on the farm include viewing walks, riding, game and abundant bird life.

Well worth travelling up the mountainside to reach this splendid location. Very clean, well equipped, hugely spacious with beautiful garden and surroundings, nothing really to fault it. Owner and close by staff (Walter) extremely helpful and friendly. So, if you fancy staying in a location miles from nowhere, this is the place to go.

The only thing I would change is the directions to house. Little more specific details. We had a fantastic weekend. The perfect place for a family reunion or get together. To relax play games and enjoy the magnificent views. Once u get there, location perfect

A perfect House in a perfect setting by

We had an absolutely amazing trip to Proudfoot. The directions are a bit confusing at first and a long gravel road adds some time to the journey but it is well worth it once you arrive. The house is perched atop a mountain allowing for spectacular views! The pictures definitely don't do it justice. Every aspect of this house has a little surprise like the well stocked kitchen with spices and bedrooms with blankets. The fireplace was amazing especially on the rainy days. The house is solar powered and even by only keeping a few necessary lights we still had no power for majority of our stay but that's part of the charm. Make sure to stock up on extra firewood!! There are plenty of games and books to keep you busy. Overall perhaps an additional source of power could help. There are 2 showers, a third could help bigger groups. Other than that I would not have changed a thing.
