RAINBOW RIVIER LODGE RESENSIES (60 %) Nice spot but skip breakfast here by Anonymous, South Africa 07 October 2010 Great spot at the Okavango River. Accomodation is very basic. Breakfast time offers cold scrambled eggs, if there's any left (no refills). Dinner is slightly better but heavily overpriced. Rainbow River Lodge by Sus Bronn, South Africa 07 June 2011 This is a lovely place. Nice people and good food. Due to our planning we stayed only for one night, but which we could stay longer. We will definitely return. Terrible by Jasper Muller, South Africa 26 September 2013 Me and my wife recently travel through Namibia, Chobe and Botswana and stayed in various lodges but Rainbow was the worst. Last 700 metres to Rainbow not motor vehicle friendly middle centre of road very high. Arriving at 16.00 hours with 38 degrees Celsius, no gold water or ice available, no electric kettle in chalet, no chairs to sit on, nothing in chalet to cool of any drinks or water, no bin in chalet, not semi disadvantage friendly from Chalet to Restaurant cement path very uneven and rough I have tried to drive to the restaurant from the chalet but the road was also not motor vehicle friendly. I think the price per unit is to expense for the facilities compared to other lodges we stayed in for the same price. Never again at Rainbow. On the positive this is a very beautiful site next to the river. Photos also misleading. Maybe campsite is better. Catching a big barbel by Martin Van Den Heever 23 March 2017 Although this resort comes from yesteryear it had a nice setup as far as the bar and restaurant is concerned. We appreciated that we could fish from the owners boat that was moored on the river bank. I had a stroke of luck catching a big barbel from there much to the delight of all the German guests who enjoyed taking some photos. The tented accommodation is in a horrific state and should rather be retracted until renovations has been completed. It was by far the worst accommodation that we stayed in on our trip and detracts from what could have been a great resort. RAINBOW RIVIER LODGE LIGGING
