Reflections Guest Farm is a farm resort getaway nestled in the beautiful and historical Tulbagh Valley. Guests have a choice of staying in two houses or three cottages that overlook the Reflections Dam. The cottages offer double and single beds and some units also have sleeper couches. Each unit has a private bathroom and we provide all bedding and bath towels; guests need to bring their own swimming towels. The kitchens are fully equipped with stoves, ovens, microwaves, fridges, tea and coffee facilities as well as all necessary kitchen necessities. Each unit also has a TV with DSTV; channels include sports, M-Net and children's programmes. The cottages have private braai facilities. We service the cottages daily. Children are welcome under strict adult supervision and all well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement with management. Guests need to bring their own pet beds, bedding, food and bowls. Reflections Chapel, with its stained glass windows, is available and can seat up to 120 guests. Guests can swim in the pool or dam and bring their fishing rods to do some bass fishing. A few rods are also available for hire and two rowing boats are available to guests free of charge.

REFLECTIONS GASTEPLAAS RESENSIES (82 %) Carolissen's review by Mark Carolissen, South Africa 25 June 2013 We enjoyed our short stay and got more than expected. There was tea, coffee, sugar, dishwashing liquid, eggs and milk etc. available. We brought all these with, but it was available already. We enjoyed the dam, nature as well as seeing the snow on the high lying mountains. We also enjoyed the fireplace, braaing and DSTV. For a quiet time away it was good. A pleasant surprise by Peet Van Aardt, South Africa 18 November 2013 We had a lovely time. Really cosy and clean accommodation. Love the free farm eggs and firewoord for the fireplace. Great holiday by Pat Rother, South Africa 07 April 2014 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view was fantastic. Thank you very much. We also has two children aged 17 and 21. They also had a good time on the dam. holiday stay by Beverly Kalell, South Africa 29 September 2016 Reflections Guest Farm is a very picturesque retreat, with fabulous fishing!! Kids had a ball... caught so many bass!! Very peaceful stay Peacefulness by Lee-ann Mullins 19 May 2018 I fell inlove with the place. Reflections guest farm will see me again The beautiful views and tranquil setting and the accommodation was clean and spacious by Andrea Bradley 07 July 2018 We loved being so close to nature walks and wind farms. Our chalet had a very noisy u secured chimney that needs to be attended to. The wind unfortunately was very strong but the banging of the fireplace kept us up. Otherwise loved it. Amazing views - cottage not so amazing by Dijon Anthony 16 July 2018 We are a family of two adults and two small children. Based on this we decided to book the Witzenburg Cottage as it's a two bed house, described as beautiful and spacious and perfect for small families or friends. Sadly i'd have to disagree with that, it is much smaller than we initial thought and i'd say would be better suited to two adults with one child max, and certainly not suited for two couples.
The kitchen is quite dated although someone mentioned it had been upgraded?! cupboard doors/drawers very old and wont close properly, shelfs wonky and a door knob even fell off. No oven only four stove rings, basic kitchen accessories - i.e no tongs for the braai, only one large knife that desperately needs a sharpen. A very old microwave thats seen better days, no milk jug, no fruit bowl, no childrens plastic plates/cups etc...not terrible for a few nights stay, but these items would have made our stay much more comfortable and most other places like this we've stayed at, have supplied all these things, so was a tad disappointing.
When self catering with small children you do find yourself at "home" more so than not, especially at meal times, so by not having these above items make cooking rather tricky. What wasn't ideal is the fact theres no oven, you have to use the braai on the porch, great if the weathers lovely, not so great when it's raining and freezing. Also the cottage is too small for a dining table, so unless you want to eat outside in the cold, its plates on your lap.
Also as we visited in winter, the cottage is very cold..a few heaters in the bedrooms would have been appreciated, the aircon unit just doesn't warm the place up and one can't keep a fire going all night.
One other point to mention - there's no hairdryer, again these little things make for a comfortable stay and aren't expensive to include in the property.
All in all though the views are amazing, my husband loved popping out to fish and take the children on the boats so it was a nice few days.
But would we return, sadly, probably not.
