Röhrs Farm Guesthouse is a spacious country house situated 17 km west of Piet Retief on the R543/Wakkerstroom/Volksrust road, in a foresty and mountainous landscape.

The peace and quiet, tranquility and stunning views are some of the things that make guests want to come back again. Guests are awakened by birdsong and can enjoy breakfast in the spacious sitting and dining room, on the verandah with lovely views, or in our well kept garden with wide open spaces. All rooms are spacious, each with a private entrance. All rooms are equipped with fans, heaters, filtered fountain water and tea and coffee trays with electric kettles.

Heyshopedam is near and Swaziland lies about 50 km away. Wakkerstroom, famous for paragliding and its beautiful wetland birdwatching reserve, is 69 km onwards. For people travelling between the Kruger National Park and KwaZulu-Natal or the Indian Ocean, our guest house is the perfect place to sleep over or relax for a few days. Enjoy peace and quiet, lovely views and the abundant bird life on our farm.

Excellent place to stay by

Lovely place to stay. Very spacious, clean, and friendly with great breakfast and beautiful view and garden. It is a bit of a drive from Piet Retief but location and hospitality made it well worth it. I only wish we could have had more time to enjoy our stay there. Thanks so much!

Excellent cottage by

We were three girls staying overnight on the farm. It was really clean and beautifully presented. The beds were soft and fragrant. There was a nice cottage-like feel to the whole place. The owners were friendly and non intrusive, even getting up late to receive us. There was a lot of clean towels and a sprig of lavender on each of our beds. We would love to return.

Nice hot shower on a very cold night by

We stayed here about 6 years ago. We were quite satisfied than with the accommodation. This time we were very pleasantly surprised with the new accommodation, very comfortable and neat. Fully equipped with everything need for a nights stay. The only commend we have that the light, above the lounge area is not very good if one wants to read. The farm itself was also beautiful in the autumn colors. For sure a very good place for an overnight stop to the coast. We can recommend it to anybody.
