Semadep is an acronym of ?Sekanani Maasai Development Project'. Sekenani is an area in Maasailand, in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Semadep is a Maasai village project designed to develop the Maasai community living in Sekenani area socially, economically and politically in a sustainable manner.
The Semadep Safari Camp is run by the Masai Community; visit us and enjoy the greatest migration on earth, explore the rolling plains of the world's finest park, spot the diverse range of wildlife the Mara has to offer and learn about the way of life of the local Maasai community. Visit the real Masai Mara and enjoy a truly African experience while supporting sustainable tourism.
Semadep Safari Camp offers accommodation in self-contained rooms, permanent tents, and a campsite. The self-contained rooms each contain twin beds, clean flushing toilets and warm showers. The permanent tents have reinforced walls and each contain twin beds. For those wishing to bring their own tent, there is an area available, and guests will have easy access to hot showers and flushing toilets.
The camp offers 24-hour security for your peace of mind. There is a stationed vehicle for hire for those who are interested. Organised safaris in the Maasai Mara, nature walk safaris, and Maasai village visits can all be arranged.
You can try some of our locally sourced and traditionally prepared meals. Here at Semadep we want our guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay while experiencing the wild nature of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Guest are able to enjoy evening drinks around our camp fire.
