Perched on Elsies Peak, between Simonstown and Fishhoek, Shell's Place boasts unbeatable views of False Bay. The Cape-Cod style house overlooks Glencairn Beach and Simonstown. The panoramic view includes the ever-changing antics of the sea and birdlife, the surfers as well as the navy ships and sail-boats parading by.
Four people can be accommodated comfortably in two en-suite bedrooms, one with two single beds. At Shell's Place, the décor is elegantly-casual in the large open-plan living area which blends with the sun-room and deck. There are spectacular choices for relaxation and amusement. The kitchen is nicely sized and well equipped with all you would need for self-catering.
The building extends over three levels with your host, living in a completely separate unit taking up the lowest level. Your privacy is ensured.
From Shell's Place you will be spoilt by a selection of beautiful white sandy beaches dotted with large granite boulders and tidal pools. Being on the warmer Indian Ocean, snorkeling and swimming (sometimes with penguins) are popular activities.
Whether it's surfing, shark-cage diving, scuba, mountain biking / hiking, horse riding, golf or fine wining and dining you prefer, it's all here. Cape Point (Cape of Good Hope), Boulders Beach (penguin colony), Wine Routes, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Hout Bay and more, are all in close proximity.
After a day's outing, the private atmosphere of Shell's Place offers an oasis of peace and tranquility. With the hush of the sea and chirping birds, it's so nice to just sit and relax while watching the view turn pink over False Bay.
Please note: Shell's Place is NOT suitable for the infirm as there are quite a few steps to climb.
