Silver Mist Country Inn offers tranquil accommodation situated in the small village of Kaapsehoop. The area is well known for its wild horses roaming freely in the peaceful nature.

There are 24 Guest Rooms available and eight Self-catering Units. Guests can enjoy delicious meals in the restaurant, or a drink at the bar with a cellar that is filled with great wines. All rooms except for the Self Catering units come with a complimentary Continental breakfast.

A charming chapel and multi-purpose hall is ideal for weddings and private functions. This popular tourist village is a haven of beauty, with its misty mountains and high rainfalls.

Lovely setting, beautiful rooms and friendly staff.



What a lovely and pleasant stay! Staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is delicious! You feel home. The rooms are lovely and newly decorated. The guesthouse managers and staff are very friendly and informs you of things to do and of the history of Kaapsche hoop. We are already planning our next trip to Kaapsche hoop and we are definitely going to stay at Silver Mist again. I ate the oxtail and are looking forward to eat the lamb curry which my husband had. Thank you to all the staff.

What a place. Very clean and cozy. Staff at the guesthouse was extremely friendly and helpful and the romatic dinners in the lounge was absolutely surperb. I can recommend silver mist guesthouse for a awesome and romantic getaway.

Everything about Kaapsehoop is magical. The accommodation was affordable clean and comfortable. The bathroom door is a bit of a let down not allowing for much privacy.

Not happy by

We were very dissapointed in the person staying next door to us. The noise and swearing on Saturday night was awefull. That realy was a bad experience.

Not great by

I was very specific in my query about stairs - my disabled husband was however still faced with stairs! Although I understand the requirement for maintenance, I think it is an establishments duty to make the guest aware of construction sites directly outside the door so that the guest can then make an informed decision. Will unfortunately not be rushing back.
