These are exquisite chalets with breathtaking sea views, and we also offer bed and breakfast accommodation overlooking the beach. Wonderful sunrises, the beach on your doorstep and set away from (but still within two minutes drive) of the centre of Port Alfred. Spinning Reel offers a restful, comfortable and secluded holiday break for families, romantic getaways or a stopover for the weary traveler. All our beach cottages and chalets have been strategically placed amongst the natural dune vegetation to ensure each unit's privacy. With no roads between Spinning Reel and the beach, the cottages and chalets are literally a stones throw from the beach.

The place is fantastic with stunning views and the sound of the sea all the time.
It is well presented and although everyone says basic, it had a full kitchen and was very well equipped.
No heating in the winter nights was an issue for my girlfriend, but fine by me.
Would go back and if you want a quite "away from it all" break, you won't find a better location. Mouldy by Stijn Mergeay 15 May 2017 Excellent views and spacious cottage. However there was no heater (very cold at night) and the cottage was mouldy. This moisture-problem (fungi) is so intense that I'm convinced it's not healthy to rent this cottage until further improvement. Eg. we notice now that all our clothes smell like the cottage the view was beautiful it was absolutely peaceful the place to be if you need to destress by Beverley Paul 10 April 2018 i would suggest you install air cons or fans so that the insects can be controlled as there are a lot of insects in the cottages. also a change of beddings. the beddings are ancient. everything else was beautiful.
