Really enjoyable by

We had a wonderful time in St. Lucia. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the use of the braai area and my child loved the swings and pool. The accommodations were clean and well looked after. Saadia and her children were wonderful hosts.

Disgraceful by

Well, where do I start. When we arrived, we were then informed of a R500 breakage deposit which would only be refunded 7 days later. Totally unacceptable. Luckily we had cash so paid with that and then got the cash back in the morning. Our unit, although newly refurbished and looked really good was totally dysfunctional. 1. the showers did not work (we had water everywhere else but not in the shower) 2. No shower curtain 3. the toilet leaked terribly all over the floors 3. The aircon did not work, and no remote 4. The DSTV did not work 5. The ceiling fans did not work 6. No outside table and chairs 7. Short of 1 x towel (luckily we did bring) 8. I specifically requested in my booking that we need 2 x rooms with 2 x single beds and this was not the case, even though I was ensured it was. I just felt that if you are going to rent a unit out, make sure it is functional!!! Very embarrassed as I had overseas guests and they were shocked at the standard we have to live with here.

Not worth the money by

the unit we stayed in was very dusty, everyone was sneazing from arrival to departure. The kitchen was not fully equiped so we could not really cook so it cost us much more eating out everytime. The pots, pans and crockery was so dirty we had to wash everything first before we could use it. VERY disappointing stay, will never revisit. Not worth the fortune we paid.
