SunWa has gone to great lengths to utilise the beautiful environment of the Vaal River and to create a Conferencing, accommodation and in-house run teambuilding venue where tranquillity and hospitality are paramount.SunWa River Lodge has a total of 68 rooms and can accommodate a total of 139 delegates sharing: Double Storey Canadian Log Cabins, Single Storey Cabins, Thorntree Cottage, Quarter Deck Executive Suites, Duckpond.We offer facilities for activities such as Team Building, Conference Facilities, Abseiling, Archery, Cheetah Visit, Game Drives, Paint Ball, Quad Bike Rides and River Rafting.SunWa is a fully catered and liquor licensed property, we do not allow any own drinks, food or snacks on the premises.Rooms are not pet friendly.

Great place to spend a quiet weekend - take note of meal times though, as they're quite limited and no self-catering facilities

Dissapointing by

Beautiful setting and very picturesque but we were told on arrival that the Lodge does not accommodate rafting on the Vaal for small groups only for corporates. The buffet, which cost R180 for an adult and R90 for each of my children consisted of Beef Olive, Chicken Thigh, Sweet Potatoe and Rice. Beetroot salad and green salad and Malva pudding. Absolutely pathetic for the price. The room we were in was next to the bar and the noise carried on consistently. We did eventually get moved to another room for which I was grateful but overall it was and extremely disappointing experience. We will not be back

viewing the river by

i hated fhe wendyhouses where we stayed.....no clean water, the shower didn't spray correct...old sheets....no fridge....no burglerbars....no security at parking area or inside....everybody can go in or out without noticing ...not cleaned ouside wendyhouses...46...47...48...please inform customers if the better rooms are not available....If I knew it was simple wendyhouses i would not book.....
