Thaba Metsi NatuurreservaatBela-Bela, Limpopo, South Africa Selfsorg (familie-eenhede vanaf R 1,500) | R 1,500 |
Thaba Metsi is located on a small private game reserve 10 km outside Bela-Bela (previously Warmbaths) on the Eersbewoond Road in Limpopo Province. Accommodation comprises a fully equipped self-catering chalet, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, 2 bathrooms, a veranda with a private jacuzzi tub, lovely wooden deck and a braai area that overlooks the dam and Bushveld landscapes. Antelope such as impala, Golden wildebeest, kudu, waterbuck, reed buck, duiker, steenbuck, zebra, sable, giraffe and nyala can be seen roaming freely. The birdlife at the fountain is very spectacular and most of the wild animals come to drink from the fountain in the early hours of the day or at sunset.
Chalet Metsi has recently been refurbished and boasts some nice new features like an en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and basin) in the main bedroom, a large wooden deck and an upgraded braai area. The chalet overlooks the natural fountain which overflows during the rainy season, hosting an abundance of water birds coming to nest and breed. The chalet has two bedrooms, the main room has a queen bed, and the second room has two single beds, with a separate bathroom, toilet and basin.
The kitchen is well equipped with a four-plate stove top and essential crockery and cutlery.
A small lounge with full DSTV and dining area provide the rest. The jacuzzi tub is on the stoep and overlooks the fountain area and Bushveld landscapes. A lovely braai area is set just off the front door. The chalet is very privately situated.
Thaba Metsi offers you a setting which is ideal to be alone and really relax. For fun and entertainment, it is situated 10 minutes from town and popular family resorts such as Warmbaths, a Forever Resort with its hot mineral baths and Hydro and ATKV Klein Kariba. There are three golf courses in a 50km radius and plenty little road stalls, tea gardens and interesting places in the area. However, we recommend that you rather sit outside and watch your free ?wildlife channel?, or smooth away your aches and pains whilst lazing in your private Jacuzzi.
It is quite safe to take a stroll through the farm (bar the free roaming ostriches), otherwise just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet tranquillity of your surroundings. Night time is the best - just sit back around a hearty bonfire and enjoy the brightness of the African stars all above you.
