The Ark Vakansie Home

This intriguing house, aptly named, reminds one of Noah's Ark. It nestles amongst giant trees in a wooded garden a few steps away from the meandering river.

The house has been tastefully furnished with French country flair, with an interesting mix of robust antiques and contemporary furniture. It comprises a downstairs lounge/dining area with large kitchen, open fireplace, a formal dining area and a cosy seating area.

The covered veranda looks out onto the spacious garden and play area for children. The built-in seating and generous table encourage lazy al fresco dining and the comfortable day bed is an ideal place to read a good book.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, five plate gas stove with electric oven and an adequate preparation area and cupboard space. A small laundry area houses a washing machine, dishwasher and ice maker. The outdoor pit braai area is set away from the house with the circle of chairs and rustic workbench inviting long evenings around the fire.
