The Sticky Tongue is a game lodge in a 3237-hectare private game reserve, just over 58 kilometres outside Phalaborwa. Guests visiting are able to learn more about wildlife rescue and rehabilitation as well as conservation, during their stay.
Accommodation at The Sticky Tongue comprises three luxury tents and three standard tents. Each structure tent has two three-quarter beds, an en-suite bathroom with a Victorian bath and a shower.
Each tent has electricity, Wi-Fi, a fan, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a bar fridge and a lounge area with a desk. The main lapa comprises a fireplace with lounge area, a dining area and a bar full of stock.
There is also a fireplace at the rock pool that overlooks the waterhole - wildlife come here regularly. Game drives are available.
Game species include impala, kudu, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, waterbuck, general and mountain reedbuck, duiker, nyala, giraffe, Burchellse zebras, wild goats, grysbok and klipspringers. There are small predators such as tierboskatke, lynxes, civets and the Big 5.
