The Velvet Olive 1881 is situated in one of the original streets of Sutherland, Jubilee Street. Next to BOORGAT Restaurant. This self-catering home is ideal for a family or a group of friends wanting to experience the tranquility of Sutherland in a historic house.

Enjoy the warmth of an old wood stove, whilst you share a bottle of red wine, dinner and good conversation around the large kitchen table. The main house (The Velvet Olive )consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge with fireplace, kitchen/dining area with wood stove, fitted with electric stove, microwave and fridge. (Sleep 8 persons)

The cottage (De Oude Waenhuys) is located on the same property. This beautifully restored cottage consists of an open plan bedroom/lounge with fireplace. The room also has a kitchen and bath with separate toilet. This is perfect for a small family or for a couple. (Sleeps 2).
