The Bush Camp is located on the Welgedacht Private Game Reserve, which is 90 kilometers from OR Tambo International Airport in Gauteng. It farms the southern boundary of the Dinokeng Big 5 game reserve and is also home to the world renowned Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary. Accommodation at The Bush Camp comprises four Chalets, each with its own en-suite bathroom that has a shower, basin and toilet. These Chalets are quite spacious, and equipped with either two single beds or a double bed, each with its own private entrance. The entire camp is solar and gas powered, and is not affected by electrical outages as it is off the grid.
Guests who stay at The Bush Camp will enjoy the all inclusive option, as meals and activities such as two game drives a day are included. The camp also has a communal lounge and a boma with braai amenities and a private kitchen, as well as a rock splash pool to enjoy on summer days. All meals have a local flair, and are prepared on open flames in cast iron pots, adding to the camping experience.
Parking on premises is available for vehicles, and The Bush Camp is close proximity to Johannesburg and Pretoria, making this reserve ideal for guests with limited time .
The owners are the hosts of the Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary, and guests will be able to sight lions, hyenas and black leopards or giraffes grazing while on tour, and at night time while sitting around the boma fire, the bush comes alive with the sound of the Jackal and hyenas calling out across the bushveld.
