The GL Cottages

The GL Cottages offer guests a haven of peace and tranquility in the midst of Johannesburg's thriving metropolis. Set high on the Observatory Ridge, where a number of National Monuments are housed, it stands above the hustle and bustle of the city and provides those who visit an opportunity for reflection and renewal.

The cottages are nestled in a beautiful garden amongst aged trees, lush foliage, fragrant flowers, and rambling pathways. Each room is quiet, private and uniquely designed with its own theme ranging from African to a simple English country cottage. Some units also offer self-catering facilities.

The rooms all feature en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee-making facilities, a telephone, and a TV. Some, but not all rooms have DStv and M-Net, and each morning guests are greeted with a heart-warming full English breakfast. Features include a large swimming pool, a basketball court, trampoline, and safe and secure on-site parking. In addition, wireless Internet is available and laundry services can be provided.

The GL Cottages is the ideal venue for conferences, training workshops, conceptual and think-tank meetings, board meetings, and team building. We offer one large conference room that can host up to 50 delegates, a board room that can host up to 12 delegates, and a smaller conferences room that can host of up 20 delegates. All rooms are attractively appointed, well equipped, quiet, and conducive to work.
