The Old Stone Shed used to be an old sheep shearing shed and has been converted into a self-catering unit providing a unique experience when staying in the Karoo.

Built from stone, the shed has a reed roof and is equipped with electricity. The house is self-catering with the necessary cutlery, bedding and towels being provided. The small lounge area has a fireplace to add to the atmosphere and provide extra warmth in the Karoo winters. The bathroom is equipped with a wash basin, a flushing toilet and a shower with hot water. The unit also has an outdoor shower. Fires can be made outside and wood can be bought at the farmhouse at R20 a bag.

The farmhouse is within walking distance if anything is needed and also has a swimming pool where guests can cool off. With all the wide open spaces, guests can go for long walks or mountain biking. Sitting outside you will see the incredible star-filled Karoo sky at night, a must-see, awe-inspiring sight.

Very pleasant stay in this very cute cottage! Our hosts were very helpful. There is a 'lekker' kaggel inside for cold nights and an outside shower for warms days.

A highlight of our holiday by

This was exactly what we were looking for. It's a cozy farm setting where you could experience the tranquility and vastness of the Karoo in privacy and safety. It was especially nice to be received by hospitable hosts that prepared the Old Stone Shed in a very stylish and creative way. We can definitely recommend it.
