There are two luxurious guest houses situated alongside each other, each offering self-catering accommodation for 10 guests, at surprisingly affordable rates.

With panoramic views of the Knysna Lagoon spanning from Belvedere to the Knysna Heads, our lodges are just a few steps away from the restaurants and shops of Thesen Island, and they are situated a mere five-minute drive from Knysna town centre.

Enjoy breakfast on the patio, a large sociable dining room table, L-shaped sofas and a fireplace for keeping warm during winter. Elegant décor and contemporary, open-plan architecture lend a sublime and relaxing atmosphere to each unit.

Each bedroom is en-suite and comprises a spacious bed, a flat-screen TV, DStv and free wireless Internet. All of this is combined with a fully-equipped kitchen and housekeeping services to ensure carefree holiday living.

No reason to be disappointed by

The lodge is wonderful, we enjoyed it. It is pity that we spent there only one night. The area is quiet and nice. There is a splendid view on the lagoon early in the morning. I would recommend you to check my words in practice. Just book the Thesen Islands' Lodges and. I am sure you will be not disappointed.

Die diens was uitstekend, die lodge was pragtig en ons het baie lekker gebly. The service was outstanding! The lodge is beautiful, we joined our stay.

Great location, although in need of care by

We stayed in the Seahorse unit on 4 Jan 2015. The room was clean and the communal area also seemed in tact, although the shower had dirt markings and there was a number of unfinished touches in the unit - such as the one bed-light not working (and basically falling apart). The one light in the bathroom was also taken apart with wires hanging all over the place. A disappointment for a four star rating. Not recommended for the price paid.
