Overlooking the Ladies Slipper Mountain, the Thornhill Farm lies nestled in 70 hectares of tranquil farm land and natural bush with Tortoise, Duiker and Bush Buck all part of the farm.
The House was built in the early 1900s and still offers the same charm with a view of the ocean. It was the first farm to have an automatic milking parlour. In the early 1970s it was turned into a Protea farm and is now currently a guest farm where kids collect eggs, help feed the baby animals, and ride bikes around the marked trails.
Start the day with a lovely farm house breakfast and should you wish, our manager will cook you a lovely home cooked meal in the evening. Here you will have a traditional farm life experience, as well as a place to put your feet up, relax, and enjoy the peace and tranquility we offer.
The farm is 10 kms from the Gamtoos River which is fantastic for fishing, 20 kms from Jeffrey's Bay and 32 kms from Port Elizabeth. The well-known Van Stadens, which is the highest railway bridge in the area, is also nearby.
