Villa Tara is situated in Somerset West close to Cape Town, in the heart of the famous Winelands. We offers a home away from home in a calm and safe area, with exciting views over False Bay and Hottentots Holland mountains.

Accommodation comprises four comfortable rooms, each with own bathroom. A full breakfast, including a sumptuous buffet of fresh produce, may delight your start to the day.

A plethora of golf courses and other activities are mere minutes away. Cape Town is only 35 minutes' drive away and Stellenbosch and the surrounding winelands are only 15 km away.

At Villa Tara you will find personal atmosphere with genuine German hospitality. Guests are invited to relax in our tranquil garden and enjoy the heated pool, while the more active will will enjoy the tennis court.

I was impressed with the accommodation and service at Villa Tara, as well as the convenience of the location for anyone needing to be in the Somerset West/Strand or Stellenbosch area. Friendly and efficient hosts.



Friendly, informal, homely, comfortable accommodation. Gaby and Wolf were wonderful hosts.



Our hosts were most accommodating when we arrived in the early evening, and we were offered to join them for a glass of wine or coffee.
The accommodation was extremely clean and comforting, but lacked the option of Rooibos tea in the room.  
Unfortunately we found no soap in the shower and only a small amount of liquid soap in a broken bottle in the hand basin.
The advert promised a sumptuous breakfast, and it was!  A Continental selection, a full cholesterol and a health option was available.  Enjoyed!
