Vrede-Oord Guest Farm is a working citrus farm situated at the foot of the Cederberg Mountain Range near Clanwilliam. The guest farm offers guests a choice of staying in one of the B&B Rooms or the self-catering units. The rooms are furnished with one double or two single beds and have en-suite bathrooms with showers.
Tea and coffee facilities are provided and one of the rooms has a fridge. The self-catering units are furnished with one double or two single beds and the bathrooms consist of showers only. Each Unit has a kitchen that is equipped with a fridge, a kettle and a toaster as well as a two-plate stove and are air-conditioned.
Guests can relax around the pool or in the garden and braai facilities are available. For the B&B guests breakfast is served on the 'stoep', depending on the weather, and guests can choose between English or continental breakfasts.
Guests are welcome to take a walk through the orchards and taste freshly picked oranges or clementines during the harvesting season, April until September. Guests can also visit the Ramskop Wild Flower Garden in Clanwilliam which exhibits all the indigenous plants, visit a working rooibos tea farm or take a 4x4 trip to Wupperthal, a quiet mission station in the Cederberg Mountains. Guests can also visit the rock formations, waterfalls and bushman paintings. Activities such as kayaking, sailing, angling and water skiing can be enjoyed on the Clanwilliam Dam or visitors can go hiking in the Cederberg Mountains.
