Renovated in 2013, Waterside Lodge is ideally situated along the main road in Piet Retief next to the Piet Retief dam. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation for families and business travellers in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

The lodge offers self-catering accommodation as well as clean comfortable rooms for travellers just seeking a good night's rest. Chalets have been recently revamped and refurbished with spacious bathrooms and large showers, breakfast nooks with coffee and tea facilities, and modern interiors, with emphasis placed on colour and quality fabrics. All in all, creating a new comfortable retreat for all our valued guests.

The property boasts a restaurant, a swimming pool, a laundry facility, secure parking and views across the dam.

A conference facility is available and offers seating for up to 100 delegates; we supply catering. The dam offers visitors the opportunity to do some bird watching and fishing.

Friendly people but lack of some finer detail.

Nothing fancy but OK by

At the reception they didn't know I had a reservation, even though I got a confirmation of my booking by sms. Luckily the receptionist was helpfull and gave us the self catering cottage we booked. The cottage was a bit outdated but it was fine.

NYE Stay 2017 by

Our overall stay was pleasant, however for the self catering rooms a lot of things were missing i.e. cutlery, enough plates and bowls and the stove was not working. The pool was not the cleanest. Service was good and staff is friendly.

Very Nice restaurant on the premises by

Rooms are very clean .Had a very nice stay. My only concerns were that the outside light at the front door did not work and that the windows latch did not secure the very large window. So any body could open it from the outside at night. The light above the basin was also not working. Other than that we had a lovely stay.
