Waterways B&B consists of two comfortable and spacious en-suite rooms, each with separate entrance, out-door living facilities and good views. St Francis Bay itself is a unique coastal resort development, situated mid-way between the Garden Route and Port Elizabeth. It is popular for its predominantly thatched architecture; its 2.5 km beach with fine, clean sand and world-class surfing; its 5.6 km of tidal marina, known as the Canals; the Kromme River, navigable for 12 km, with a large estuary beach and abundant bird life at low tide; Port St Francis, headquarters of the local calamari fishing industry, and from which deep-sea safaris can be arranged; two excellent links golf courses; and beautiful coastal walks through Fynbos nature reserves.
