Wolwekraal Bed and Breakfast is situated halfway between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town on the N2. It is 5.5 km east of Albertinia. We offer one Self-catering Unit that is fully equipped with a kitchen and open-plan lounge area, sleeping six guests comfortably. There are two spacious rooms with beautiful views of the Langeberg Mountain and the game lodge. There is a TV in the room as well as all linen and towels provided. Breakfast, lunch and supper are available on request. Albertinia is a peaceful little town lying at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain and is known as the home of the aloe. The indigenous aloe ferox, or Cape aloe, grows prolifically in the area and the leaves are collected and drained for its bitter-tasting sap used in the health and skin care industries. The Klein Karoo Wine Route, which stretches from Montagu, ends in Albertinia. The climate is so dry, vineyards tend to be organically cultivated and a variety of quality wines are produced against the mountain slopes. You can hike through the Reins Nature Reserve in Gouritsmond, bungee jump from the Gourits River Bridge just outside of Albertinia, or play a round of golf on one of the few remaining sand golf courses.

WOLWEKRAAL BED-EN-ONTBYT RESENSIES (82 %) Thank you by Arina Fyfer, South Africa 10 April 2014 I don't know where to start. From the word go, it was only a pleasure to deal with Willie and Sophia. It is a very neat cottage and very comfortable. Very nice shower and a very nice breakfast with homemade wors. And the bonus is the beautiful view and the elephants! Nothing was to much trouble for them. Dave Whitelaw, South Africa 12 July 2014 Very friendly helpful hostess, lovely situation, very comfortable beds and excellent breakfast.
We would like to return. Very much secondary to other businesses run from the same building by Deborah Patrick, South Africa 11 May 2015 Adequate in some ways:- good shower and emergency lights, items such a hairdryer provided - and totally inadequate in others:- no cooking utensils, no sharp knife, only one pot provided for cooking, insufficient crockery. Friendly owner happy to oblige with any requests and queries, but too busy with other businesses, making the guests feel that this is very much a secondary income. Unfortunately the set up of having the B&B accommodation as part of the same building which houses the owners and a butchery/meat storage and delivery business is not at all to be recommended. The smell from the meat storage the resulting fly infestation were disgusting. The only redeeming feature was being able to see the game across the road at the Garden Route Game Lodge.
Establishment Response:
I am sorry for the client experiencing her stay as a bad one. I apologize for any inconvenience
caused to her and her company. I just want to reply on some of her comments and put a few things into perspective. This is farm accommodation on a productive farm. If you are not prepared to live with ?farmthings? like animals and some flies(the amount of flies she mentioned is unbelievable as we did not experienced the same in thehouse)do not go there. As for the dogs. They are labradors which is a mankind lover species. I told her the night before that we have to leave early and apologize in advance should we wake them. I am sorry for the utensils that were not in the apartment. She brought a pan along which requires a specific lifter. Why not bring that along with the pan if you know you are going to need it?although we were away for sunday morning only(until they booked out) we always have a manager on duty should any needs occur. For the ?'smell? i have no explanation because there is no cold room next to the apartment. I am sure we would have smelled it too if it was that bad. I totally object to the insinuation of rotten meat. The butchery is certified and are being inspected, as well as the bb, on a regular base. The certificate she is referring to is for membership at a new tourism board and not an inspection as she understood. Me and my husband are always very eager to interact with our guests but if somebody?s body language warns you to privacy
we leave them alone. I did try to make conversation but it seemed to me that neither of them were interested. So we left them alone. I am sorry to say but the client started to complain the moment she stepped out of her vehicle. I really try to please all my guests but as i learned over the years it is not always possible. Some people are just out to find fault in everything. She has a right to her feedback but i feel that her comments are unfair and totally put out of perspective.
